• "Long Hunters", otro marcador programado para el condado de Lee, describe a los cazadores que dejaron su hogar durante muchos meses para perseguir animales más allá de los límites de los primeros asentamientos blancos en el oeste de Virginia durante la década 170019. • La "Escuela Secundaria George Washington Carver" en el condado de Chesterfield se estableció en 1948 y consolidó dos escuelas secundarias negras segregadas anteriormente. La escuela funcionó durante 22 años como la única escuela secundaria pública del condado para estudiantes afroamericanos y sirvió como centro social para la comunidad negra. Cerró en 1970, cuando el condado terminó de implementar su plan de desegregación.

 

• La "Escuela Washington Rosenwald" en el condado de Rappahannock fue construida en 1924 después de que la Liga Cívica de Padres, una organización afroamericana local, donara un terreno al distrito escolar.
